Ask the Expert

Do you have specific questions about natural medicine?  This is your opportunity to ask our expert, Barbara MacDonald, ND, LAc.  Dr. MacDonald is a board certified naturopathic physician and acupuncturist who's private practice focus is on natural adjunctive treatment for those with breast cancer and other forms of cancer.  She is a frequent lecturer at local cancer support groups on the subject of natural therapeutics for breast cancer survivors.  She is the program supervisor of the Naturopathic and Chinese Cancer Care Program at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine's (NCNM) Pettygrove clinic and is an NCNM adjunct faculty member.

 Dr. MacDonald practices privately at A Woman's Time in Northwest Portland.  She is a Susan G. Komen volunteer grant reader and is the coordinator of the Young Survivor's Support Network—a network of women under 40 with breast cancer.  She was the co-founder and support group facilitator of the Young Survivor's Support Group from 1998 to 2003.  Dr. MacDonald became a board member of the Clara Jean Foundation in 2004.
